Tactical binoculars are not just a fancy name! Tactical in this context means binoculars of the type used by military. they also have applications for hunting and marine.

What makes them differeent to other binoculars is that the reticle in the middle of the field of view allows you to calculate the distance and size of an observed object.

This mans you can view an object and calculate its distance without having to use a laser rangefinder which can alert a target with Laser Detecting Systems. We'd hope not something you will have to deal with but still very useful if you do not have or wnat to use an LRF. As any type of such binocular has mil application yiou can be certain the quality will be superb.
